Baking for Allergy Sufferers
By popular demand, I will be highlighting recipes without wheat, dairy or eggs especially for allergy sufferers. The hardest part about baking without eggs is getting the correct texture. Another huge problem is keeping the finished product, be it biscuits, cakes, muffins or cookies, from crumbling apart. In creating these recipes, I use alternate ingredients to overcome these problems. I am confident that you will be happy with the finished result. In addition to the new frostings that I am presenting below, all of the cakes will be delicious frosted with the Fruit Filling already found in the database.
A.S. Chocolate Cake is chocolaty and delicious, just like chocolate cake should be. It has a moist texture and holds together well. When chilled, the cake becomes chewy like fudge brownies. Try serving it with Raspberry Sauce for a gourmet treat.
A.S. Raspberry Cake is moist and delicious. The raspberries add a delightfully tangy flavor to the cake. Spread A.S Carob Fudge Frosting on this cake and you will have a scrumptious dessert.
A.S. Cherry Cake is packed with sweet cherries, moist and delicious. It is wonderful with cherries on top or frosted with Vegan Cherry Cream.
One last comment for allergy sufferers: don't forget to check the database for vegan recipes. Vegan recipes have no eggs or dairy products in them. Simply go to the "advanced search" and, using the "designation" pull-down menu, select vegan.
